4.1.2 Adding a virtual host to your server

To add a virtual host to your server, log into your server admin panel (http://mydomain.com/webadmin) and click the "Virtual Hosts" link. From the list on the left, select "Add New Vhost".

Fill out the fields to configure your new virtual host, then click the "Add" button. Next, be sure to restart Apache by clicking the link on the left.

The folders for your new virtual host will automatically be created. Once you have added your virtual host, you can upload web content to its htdocs directory:

/www/vhosts/newdomain.com/htdocs

Note: You must have DNS set up for the new virtual host before it will work. If you do not have your own DNS servers, then follow the instructions here to add the virtual hosts to our nameservers.
